These are given to company commanders and these captains write certain orders as well as verbally instruct their subordinates. Lieutenants pass this verbal guidance to their Non-commissioned officers and these sergeants speak it forth until their soldiers thoroughly understand it.

A sergeant may not comprehend the general’s strategy, the details of the plan, or the geo-political constraints involved, but he or she knows what to say to their soldiers. They repeat the same words their superiors said to them.

They echo the written and verbal orders until everyone in the unit is ready and relevant to the mission.

During combat, a general will give additional orders to their troops, depending on battlefield conditions and the fog of war. These verbal orders can be prophetic, especially when they determine the outcome of battle.

The written orders, mission statement and plan represent the written word—the Logos. This is the recorded logic and truth of the mission.

The verbal orders and tactical instructions represent the spoken word—the Rhema. This is the spoken revelation and prophetic guidance that help accomplish the mission.

Both are necessary for an army to be victorious.
